Accessing the Internet
Setting up Wi-Fi Security
(optional)
After connecting to the CLEAR Spot Personal Hotspot,
enabling Wi-Fi Security is recommended. To accomplish this,
simply open a browser and enter 192.168.0.1 (the router’s IP
address) into the browsers address bar. This will open the
CLEAR Spot setup pages. You may want to create a book-
mark to return to this page easily. Then login using the
Administration Password, which by default is the same unique
password used to connect to the CLEAR Spot and is printed
on the bottom of the CLEAR Spot device. Note that the
access password and administrator password can be reset to
different values of your choosing.
Open a web browser and surf to your home page or any web
site such as http://www.clear.com. Before reaching the desired
site you will be prompted for your password to connect to
your CLEAR Spot Personal Hotspot. Your unit’s unique default
password is printed on the bottom of the router.
Enter the password and
click the
“connect”
button.
After this first login, the CLEAR Spot will remember your
computer until the next time your router firmware is updated
or you perform a factory reset. This User Login page can be
disabled by using the CLEAR Spot setup pages and the “Tools”
> “User Login” menu.
